Step-by-step tutorial

  1. 1
    Open Live · Table devices

Open the operator-side Table devices sheet

Table devices lives in the Live tab of the Manager operator shell. It is part of the default shell — there is no release flag to confirm first.

  2. 2
    Keep the table identity visible

Mint the one-time QR or pairing code

Choose Pair device for the correct table. Manager shows a nine-character code grouped as XXX-XXX-XXX, plus a QR. It is valid for fifteen minutes and can be claimed once.

  3. 3
    Enter the table-device role

Choose Table mode on the iPad

The iPad login surface has a dedicated Table mode entry. It bypasses the operator sign-in for this device role.

  4. 4
Pair this iPad to the table

Scan the QR or type the code

Use Scan pairing QR on iPad or type the code. After pairing, the app recommends that the operator manually enable Guided Access.

  5. 5
    Confirm the table and queue

Verify the table lock and connection status

A paired device shows only its assigned table queue, under a label shortened from the table's own name — a table named Table 3 reads T3. Connected is healthy; Reconnecting means the heartbeat is stale or resuming.

  6. 6
    Score, then submit

Score the match, then submit once

Start match opens the scoring surface for a singles, doubles, or mixed match. Score point by point, then Confirm & submit sends one result to the desk. A team tie cannot be scored here and its Start match button says so.

  7. 7
    Escalate without leaving the table

Call the operator when the table needs help

Call operator raises the table at the desk, where it appears as a Calling badge with a Dismiss action and an amber flag on the live grid.
